From a kids playing material to, flying thing for entertainment to decoration. A balloons have comes a long way. Not exactly knew what kind of balloons to appear on 
I remember always been fascinated with balloon in my childhood days. A thin small rubber bag with a definite shape and can easily be inflated through mouth air or by filling different gas. It was the balloon which taught me that, "helium gas" is the lightest gas which allow balloon to fly up. In my childhood days, my dad unable to get me those helium filled balloon because they were costlier. So what he did he get me a packet full of balloon to play.
Balloon is still a favourite things to play for kids. Be it Birthday party, any occassion, balloon has now found a new business theme. Even during Christmas we can see market or offices decorated with red / red or white balloons. To represent the Santa costume. Similarly, here in India ant ocassion can get beautiful with some balloon decoration.
I find the kids still go crazy with the balloons, they used to have fun in blasting them. It's like sound of cracker, to scare some one.
Balloon also find its way to Holi Celebration - the festival of colours. Kids used to fill the smaller balloon with water colour and splashes them to other. Though sometimes it hurts but people do not complain. As they also enjoy the festival and getting some water color.
As said balloon theme decoration is good business idea. People were charging some good amount for little decoration. So what we did , we brought up packets of balloon and ask all the young kids to decorate the place. And they enthusuaiticcaly participated
Anyhow, the decoration was part of the festival. Where we are decorating the place to celebrste ** saraswati puja** a Hindu goddess who represents education, creativity, and music. And here I am sitting in front of the idol.
