The failure that I am going to tell you happened to a customer with a Chevrolet Aveo automatic transmission, the customer has had endless problems with the car, first had many problems with the engine, then began with shifting problems and that is where I come in to diagnose the fault.
It all started with the failure of the transmission activating the hold or safety mode, I started doing a computerized diagnosis, when scanning the car the first thing I got was a long list of the history of failures that had not been deleted where they rebuilt the engine of the car.
I finish the diagnosis the faults are corrected we test the car on the road and everything goes normally, only that when turning off and on the car activates the security mode of the transmission when placing reverse or drive. I dismissed to evaluate the neutral sensor connector to see if there are any communication failures due to sulfated contacts since a broken cable or fuse was discarded because there is a connection with the scanner.
When evaluating this connector I do not observe anything abnormal, I recheck the oil dipstick and it is at the correct level but the smell was strange it had a lot of diesel aroma, but being the fault something electronic I ignore and continue evaluating so I start to graduate the position of the neutral stop and thus download that possibility.
The failure does not stop so it was waiting to get a neutral stop of another vehicle in operation to avoid unnecessary expense to the customer.
It turns out that a few days pass and the customer gets the borrowed sensor, we agreed to meet two days later, on the way of those two days the car stopped and did not work more, disassembled the transmission without thinking about it.
When disassembling I found that the oil (if it could be called oil) deteriorated the seals of the clutch pistons, which overheated the discs and they burned.
It is time to replace the transmission master kit, the owner of the car still does not have the budget for the repair of the same so I am left on the table all the parts already cleaned and in order to start the reconstruction.
It is required to drain the oil from the turbine, replace all the bad oil with the oil indicated by the manufacturer.
The list of spare parts for this repair is the master kit where all the discs, seals and pistons are to be replaced; 8 liters of dexron lll oil.
The cost of these parts amounts to $150 plus about $100 for labor in an economical way to be considerate of the customer since she does not have enough resources.

La falla que les voy a contar le sucedió a una cliente con un Chevrolet Aveo de transmisión automática, la cliente ha tenido un sin fin de problemas con el auto, primero tuvo muchos problemas con el motor, luego empezó con problemas de desplazamiento y es donde entro yo a diagnosticar la falla.
Todo empezó con la falla de que la transmisión se activaba el hold o modo de seguridad, empecé realizando un diagnóstico computarizado, al escanear el auto lo primero que conseguí fue una lista larga del histórico de fallas que no habían Sido borradas donde reconstruyeron el motor del auto.
Termino el diagnóstico las fallas se corrigen vamos probamos el auto en la ruta y todo transcurre de manera normal, solo que al apagar y encender el auto se activa el modo de seguridad de la transmisión al colocar reversa o al colocar drive. Despido evaluar el conector del sensor pare neutro para ver qué no tenga fallas de comunicación por contactos sulfatados ya que el de un cable roto o fusible estaba descartado por existir conexión con el escáner.
Al evaluar dicho conector no observo nada anormal, vuelvo a revisar la varilla del aceite y está en el nivel correcto pero el olor era extraño tenía mucho aroma a diesel, pero al ser la falla algo de electrónica hago caso omiso y sigo evaluando por lo que empiezo a graduar la posición del pare neutro y así descargar esa posibilidad.
La falla no cesa por lo que quedó en la espera de conseguir un pare neutro de otro vehículo en funcionamiento para evitarle al cliente un gasto innecesario.
Resulta que pasan unos días y el cliente consigue el sensor prestado, quedamos en vernos dos días después, en el trayecto de esos dos días el auto se detuvo y no funcionó más, desmontó la transmisión sin pensarlo más.
Al desarmar me consigo que producto del aceite (si es que se podía llamar aceite) deterioro los sellos de los pistones del embrague de avancé, lo que recalentó los discos y se quemaron.
Toca reemplazar el máster kit de la transmisión, la dueña del auto aún no cuenta con el presupuesto para la reparación de la misma por lo que me quedo en la mesa todas las partes ya limpias y en orden para empezar la reconstrucción.
Se requiere drenar el aceite de la turbina, reemplazar todo el aceite malo por el aceite indicado según el fabricante.
La lista de repuestos para esta reparación es de el máster kit dónde vienen todos los discos, todos los sellos y pistones para ser reemplazados; 8 litros de aceite dexron lll.
Los costos de estos repuestos ascienden a los 150$ más unos 100$ de mano de obra de manera económica por tener consideración con la cliente ya que no cuenta con los recursos suficientes.
