OTF Hell Week 2022 - Day Seven of Eight: Escalate the Situation

Today was the seventh of eight straight days of the OTF Hell Week 2022 season.

Tomorrow is the final day and the workouts go back to normal, which normal is still high intensity interval training workouts lol.

This morning was the normal 60 minute session opposed to the 90 minute workout we put in yesterday.

A 90 minute Hell Week workout was INSANE!

Today, Tiffany and I repped the Hell Week shirt we earned in 2021.

On to the workout template of the day:

On the floor I stuck to 25 pound dumbbells for the weighted exercises except for a 35 pounder when doing the single arm shoulder presses.

Floor Block - 23 minutes

•⁠Goal:
⁠•⁠Green: 25 total walkouts
⁠•⁠Orange: 50 total walkouts (It’s where I landed)
⁠•⁠Red: 75+ total walkouts

•⁠3 rounds of 2 minutes back to back:

⁠•⁠8 split stance single arm high rows - each side (weighted)
⁠•⁠8 single arm lateral lunges - each side (weighted)
⁠•⁠Remaining time: walkout to push up, count reps

Rowers:
•⁠2 minutes to do 150 meter ALL OUT row, rack and rest

Back to the floor:
•⁠3 rounds of 2 minutes back to back:

⁠•⁠8 single arm close grip chest presses - each side (weighted)
⁠•⁠8 single leg bridges - each side (weighted)
⁠•⁠Remaining time: walkout to triple
high plank jacks, count reps

•⁠2 minutes to do 150 meter ALL OUT row, rack and rest

•⁠3 rounds of 2 minutes back to back:

⁠•⁠8 single arm shoulder presses - each side (weighted)
⁠•⁠8 split squats - each side (weighted)
⁠•⁠Remaining time: walkout to high plank shoulder taps, count reps

•⁠FINISHER: 1 minute of walkouts, count reps

The counting of reps were based on all the walkout variations.





Tread Block - 23 minutes

My speed was very tame with my minimum speed as low as 6 miles per hour and as high as 7.1 miles per hour where yesterday I ended at 12 miles per hour. Nothing close to that today lol.

•⁠22 minute run for distance, increasing our pace every 2 minutes
•⁠1 minute ALL OUT

Yesterday’s OTBEAT chart was amazing, but today’s was more of a dud lol. Great workout nevertheless.

Tomorrow is Halloween and Day 8 of 8 of the Hell Week series and Tiffany and I will be right back at our home studio at OTF Nona North! We scheduled all eight to be at our home studio.
