The Fading Of Cupid's Beauty In The Little Predator's Jaw

Today the weather is quite sunny after three days of non-stop rain. Some of the flood-stricken sub-districts have now receded, and people are starting to clean their homes from the mud that filled every room due to the flood. Well, finally the disaster passed.

We leave for a moment the hustle and bustle of the people with all their busy activities. In the animal kingdom, the law of the jungle continues to apply today. Where the strong will prey on the weak.

For weak animals, caution is the only "weapon" for survival. Careless for a moment, the danger will lurk.

That was what happened to a cupid butterfly (Luthrodes pandava) that I saw today. Not even a few seconds had it perched on the twig of a plant, with a movement as fast as lightning, a green crab spider (Misumessus) caught and gripped the cupid so tightly.

A few seconds earlier, the cupid flew in a dazzling manner. After that, its beauty seemed to fade, it became helpless to escape from the jaws of the small predator, the green crab spider. Such is the law of the jungle today.
