It was our local 'open mic' last night where we submit videos to view in a Facebook 'watch party'. This has been keeping us going whilst it is not possible to perform in person. I try to come up with something different each time. I was listening to Desert Island Discs where the guest was DJ Annie Nightingale and one of her choices was My Way as sung by Sid Vicious. I cannot do it like him, but I took his lyrics and rocked it up as best I could. I was playing my Gordon Smith GS2 guitar into my Zoom G3X and used the built-in drum machine. I am not sure I stayed in sync with the drums all the way through, but I find it hard to hear them when singing and playing. They do at least help keep the song motoring on.

I got some good reactions to the song. Most people do songs on acoustic guitar, but we also had a couple of flute performances. There are no rules about genre or instrument. I enjoyed playing this. My other submissions were on ukulele. I need to come up with some new original songs to perform soon.
