This weekend we were at the Sambil Margarita and I took the opportunity to stop by the small branch of Granier Bakery that they have in this mall, we spent late and they bake since morning, however, there was still a more or less wide variety of desserts, including 2 muffins that I wanted to try with my mom, one chocolate and one vanilla with red fruit center.
Granier is a bakery that has several locations worldwide and since they opened on my island I wanted to go to try the sweets, however, I had not had the opportunity, as you see in the picture this is a small location, with the intention that you order to take away and sit in the mall fair to take your drink and eat what you ordered.
El fin de semana estuvimos por el Sambil Margarita y aproveché de pasar por la pequeña sucursal de Granier Panadería que tienen en este centro comercial, pasamos tarde y ellos hornean desde la mañana, sin embargo, aún quedaba una variedad más o menos amplia de postres, entre ellos 2 muffins que quise probar con mi mamá, uno de chocolate y otro de vainilla con centro de frutos rojos.
Granier es una panadería que tiene varias sedes a nivel mundial y yo desde que la abrieron en mi isla quería ir a probar los dulces, sin embargo, no había tenido la oportunidad, como ven en la foto esta es una sede pequeña, con la intención de que pidas para llevar y te sientes en la feria del centro comercial a tomarte tu bebida y comer lo que hayas pedido.
As you can see in the pictures there was a variety of donuts, chocolate, coconut, marshmallow, red fruits and natural, they were a good size and looked nice, however, it was not what was provoking me or my mom at that moment.
Como pueden ver en las fotos había variedad de donas, sabor a chocolate, coco, marshmallow, frutos rojos y naturales, tenían un buen tamaño y se veían agradables, sin embargo, no era lo que me provocaba ni a mí, ni a mi mamá en ese momento.
They also had apple tartlets, stuffed croissants, natural and what we call here "Pastelitos" and puff pastry dough filled with apple and chocolate, which although they caught our attention we felt we wanted to try a different flavor that was not covered by so much sweetness.
Tenían también tartaletas de manzana, croissants rellenos, naturales y lo que llamamos nosotros aquí "Pastelitos" e masa de hojaldre rellenos de manzana y chocolate, los cuales si bien nos llamaron la atención sentimos que queríamos probar un sabor diferente que no estuviera cubierto por tanto dulce.
So we opted for the 2 muffins, one for my mom vanilla, filled with something like whipped cream and red fruit jam, I'm not lying if I tell you that it was spectacular! soft, fluffy, good size and with its exact level of sweetness without being so strong to cloy us and not to affect so much the glycemia of my mom who is diabetic, but I allow her only from time to time to make these disasters 🥹.
I for my part ordered the chocolate one, which I was recently forbidden to eat because of my migraine, by the way 🥹 but since now I have to introduce foods little by little to see which one hurts me, I took advantage of this outing and ordered this chocolate one, which was DELICIOUS! Don't judge me if I didn't take a picture of the inside, I forgot, you see I'm still not used to this 🥲.
Por eso nos decantamos por los 2 muffins, uno para mi mamá de vainilla, relleno con algo parecido a crema chantilly y mermelada de frutos rojos, no les miento si le digo que estaba ¡espectacular! suavecito, esponjoso, de buen tamaño y con su nivel exacto de dulzor sin ser tan fuerte para empalagarnos y para que no afectara tanto la glicemia de mi mamá que es diabética, pero le permito solo de vez en cuando hacer estos desastres 🥹.
Yo por mi parte pedí el de chocolate, el cual me prohibieron comer hace poco por mi migraña, por cierto, 🥹, pero como ahora debo ir introduciendo poco a poco los alimentos para ver cual me hace daño, aproveché esta salida y pedí este de chocolate, que estaba ¡Delicioso! No me juzguen si no le tomé foto por dentro, lo olvidé ya ven que aún no me acostumbro a esto 🥲.
I can attest that the sponginess was present and the center was full of melted chocolate, for a moment it resembled the texture of Christmas panettones, but in this case with chocolate flavor, I do not know what the difference is in the technique or ingredients between this and a muffin, but I felt it. In addition, it had chocolate chips on top that gave a crunchy touch to the whole dessert, wonderful!
The coffees on the other hand were also spectacular. Could it be that I hadn't had coffee with milk for a long time? Maybe, although I like coffee in almost all its versions, so there is a good chance that I would have loved it anyway, this one had just the right amount of foam, I always ask for brown, that is, with more coffee than milk and my mom's was a latte.
Les puedo dar fe que la esponjosidad estaba presente y el centro estaba lleno de chocolate derretido, por un momento se me pareció a la textura de los panettones navideños, pero en este caso con sabor a chocolate, no sé cuál es la diferencia de la técnica ni de ingredientes entre este y de un muffin, pero así lo sentí. Además, tenía trocitos de chocolate en la parte superior que le dieron un toque crujiente a todo el postre ¡Maravilloso!
Los cafés por otro lado también estuvieron espectaculares ¿Será que tenía mucho tiempo sin tomar café con leche? Puede ser, aunque a mí el café en casi todas sus versiones me gusta, así que, hay una gran probabilidad de que igual me hubiera encantado, este tenía la cantidad exacta de espuma, yo siempre lo pido marrón, es decir con más café que leche y el de mi mamá era un latte.
In general we liked the little we tried and my mom and I already agreed to go again for some donuts, but it will be another day when we both go out of the diet, she for her diabetes and me for my migraine 🥹, anyway, if we don't go for the sweets, let's go for another coffee, besides I know I need to drink those cold coffees that come out in that big promotion.
By the way, before I go, I was taught that I should take pictures of the place so that people have a preamble of this, well I leave you some pictures, I particularly liked the abstract decoration with those ceramics in the front, which contrasted with the sobriety and seriousness of the black ones, the combination of all that with light pine wood makes everything has that minimalist and modern touch, the place is small and to appreciate the desserts they put a few of each one on the counter, but in reality they have others stored and I think they make a good choice.
En general nos gustó lo poco que probamos y ya mi mamá y yo quedamos en ir nuevamente por unas donas, pero será otro día en que ambas salgamos de la dieta, ella por su diabetes y yo por mi migraña 🥹, de todas formas, si no vamos por los dulces, vamos por otro café, además sé que necesito tomar esos cafés fríos que salen en esa promoción grande.
Por cierto, antes de que me vaya, por ahí me enseñaron que debo tomar fotos del lugar para que la gente tenga un preámbulo de esto, pues les dejo unas fotos, a mí en lo particular me gustó la decoración abstracta con esas cerámicas en el frente, que contrastaba con la sobriedad y lo serio de las de color negro, la combinación de todo eso con madera de pino clara hace que todo tenga ese toque minimalista y moderno, el lugar es pequeño y para que se aprecien los postres ponen pocos de cada uno en el mostrador, pero en realidad tienen otros guardados y creo que hacen una buena elección.
