British Museum and the Rosetta Stone. Original Pictures and Post. Part 1

Finally made my way to this magnificent place. Where everything almost comes alive. I have to say for some of these statues you have to see it to believe it. If you like Museums and history then put this place on your to do list.

Located in the Heart of London British Museum is dedicated to human history. The main hall will leave you amazed. I had to say to my self place like this does exist. Every detail looks exquisite and its really an eye candy. Who ever designed this I salute you.

The main thing I wanted to see with my own eyes, THE ROSETTA STONE. This was something i was very intrigued about and I have read a lots about it. This is the single thing that helped us decipher the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic scripts.

The Rosetta Stone it self is kept in a glass enclosure. It is located on the ground floor, on the left hand side as you walk through a grand pillars and door. You can see the entrance on the first image that I posted here. Taking a clear picture of it was hard due to lighting and because of the glass. It has 3 layers of writing on it, first one being the Egyptian hieroglyphic scripts, the second one is called the Demotic which is also Egyptian and finally the last layer is greek.

Another interesting artifact that I found was very intriguing was the biblical Flood Tablets.
