BIOHACKING - Science-based Way To Achieve Full Potential Of Our Body And Mind

In this post I will show you healthy and really effective way to improve your body and mind. Everything here is science-based and tested by many people, including me. I share this, because it helps me to be more productive and just feel better every day. I think if we try to make big things in our life, most important is our good condition and performance. That's why I started to implement biohacking to my daily habits.

What is Biohacking?

“Biohacking is the art and science of changing the environment around you and inside you, so you have more control over your own biology”. This definition comes from famous biohacker, Dave Asprey and well, that's the point.

Actually it's a HUGE and complex set of rules, which can help you to be more healthy and full of energy like never before. Certainly it's not a topic for one post, but here I will introduce you the basics. If you are interested in details, just follow me, because I will share more knowledge about biohacking in the future.

Biohacker's Sport

Biohackers like to simplify their activities and do everything with maximum efficiency. Of course they have some special tricks.:) Very appreciated is for example 7 minute training. Yes, it's a short time, but I highly reccomend you to try. Just search "7 minute training" on Google or YouTube and you will find hundreds of examples of high intensive and really effective exercises, which you can do at home. Side effects are high level of energy and good mood all day :) Biohackers love it!

Additionally, some people add foam rolling to their daily exercises. It takes only a few minutes, but it's really powerful :)

Daily activities

Biohackers have many habits, which are good for health and performance. They really appreciate cold showers, which works good for circulatory system and makes us more awake. They also like to be close to nature and they never forget about short walk (at least 20 minutes daily).

Not all their habits are that clear. For example they listen to music with special kind of waves. It's highly connected with activity of human brain.

Most of the day our brain is in beta state (14-30 Hz). During this time we are awake and concentrated.

Alpha (8-14 Hz) is the twilight state between sleep and waking. This is good for improving our memory recall.

Theta (4-8 Hz) gives us access to unconscious mind.

Delta (0.1-4 Hz) is the state during deep sleep. It's highly restorative.

I know, it looks complicated, but you can find many tracks online, which can put you in one of these states. It can be helpful for example during a job or when you want to relax.

Supplementing

This is also really big topic, not for one post, but I'll give you small introduction here. Biohackers are really "crazy" about Nootropics (sometimes called smart drugs). Sounds dangerous, but actually most of these substances are tested very well by specialists and many researches are available.

The king of nootropics is Modafinil. It's really popular for example in Silicon Valley in start-ups, technology companies, etc. It gives us the extreme level of focus, motivation and alertness.

Other popular supplements are Bacopa Monnieri, Noopept, Aniracetam, Phenylpiracetam and many others. I know these names looks weird, but you can find many researches about them on Examine.com

Environment

Biohackers also care about their environment. For example, they use special LED bulbs, because it's more healthy for eyes. Other hack is to install special screens or apps for our electronic devices to block blue light, which blocks production of Melatonin.
