Health Benefits Of Indian Tulsi (Basil Leaves)

Basil (Tulsi) helps in strengthening the immunity system and protecting against stress, headache, and sinusitis. Some people are too prone to cold, cough, and fever due to weak immunity. Frequent use of medicines can prove to be fatal for you. You can get relief from these small problems with few green leaves of Basil. According to a study, Basil leaves increase the production of immune cells such as T. cytokines, NK (Nature Killer) cell and T lymphocytes against infections. Basil has immune-modularity elements, which is also helpful in strengthening the immunization system. Because of it's antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, it also helps in reducing fever and treating cold and cough.


Basil tea





Take a cup of water in a pan and add few basil leaves in it. Boil it at least for ten minutes. Drink this twice a day to get relief from fever, malaria and dengue fever.


Basil milk





If you have a high fever, then you can put basil leaves in milk and drink it. Boil some water by adding basil leaves and cardamom powder in it and add this solution to your milk with some sugar and drink it.


Basil juice





You can also drink the juice of Basil leaves to reduce body temperature. This is more effective for children. Grind few leaves with little water and filter this solution and drink it with cold water in every two to three hours.
