Medical and general researchers revealed about 4000 disease of human with genetic bases. Some important genetic disorders and their treatment are following.
Huntington's Disease
It is due to an outosomal dominannt allele on choromosome. The affected individuals are almost certainly heterozygous for the defective gene. Apearance of Symptoms is usually delayed until the progressive mental deterioration, which is accompanied by involuntary muscle movement.
There is no treatment. Some medicen doctors prescribe but not the complete treatment.
Cystic fibrosis
It occurs due to an autosonal recessive allale. It is characterized by a tendency to chronic lung infection and an inability to absorb fats and other nutrients from food. Most patients can be helped by daily phsiotherapy for lung problems, and periodic treatmetn with pancreatic extracts.
Laboratory diagnosis in possible in this case.
