Is Your Sleep Position Ruining Your Health?!

Sleep is crucial for our optimum health and well-being. When our bodies are well-rested, so is our mind. We are able to think quicker and better when we get enough sleep and perform at our optimum best.

While the amount of sleep we get is important, the QUALITY of sleep is even more critical to optimum health. And you know what also impacts our health? Our sleeping position!

Are you aware that the way we sleep and the position we sleep is just as important as getting quality sleep every night. I recently read an article that said sleeping on our left side was most optimum compared to our right side. When we sleep on our Right side, we are more prone to getting acid reflux at night. Sleeping on the Left side is much better for your health, organs and avoids heartburn and acid reflux that often occurs when you sleep on your Right side. Many pregnant women have said they slept better when they slept on their left side.

I like to sleep on both sides but after reading this article: https://www.davidwolfe.com/sleeping-on-your-left-side/, I began sleeping more on my left. I sleep so profoundly at night now, that I sleep on my left side all night long! It does take some getting used to sleeping on just the left side, but once you get used to it, you begin to sleep better at night.

Another sleeping position that isn't so great is the fecal position. This puts havoc on our internal organs and we can sometimes wake up with our neck hurting. It will take some getting used to to sleeping on your left but when you do, your body will quickly adjust to turning left always.
