In my last post about lemon, i shared beauty tips of lemon for skin and hair and today i will be sharing with you reasons why you need to take lemon water as often as possible.

Lemon is a citrus fruit that is rich in vitamin C that enhance your beauty by rejuvenating skin from within and helps bring a glow to your face. This is what lemon is popularly known for but it has much more benefits as explained below;

  • Lemon is a good source of vitamin C: Citrus fruits like lemon which is a primary antioxidant that helps protect cells from damaging free radicals. Vitamin C also in most cases may help reduc the risk of strock, cadiovascular diseases and help in lowering blood presure. To keep it simple Lemon is an excellent and rich source of vitamin C, an essential nutrient that protects the body against immune system deficiencies.

  • Lemon helps digestion: Lemon it aids digestion, some people drink lemon water as a daily morning laxative that helps in preventing constipation. Drinking a cup of lemon water in the morning may help get your digestive system moving.

Ayurvedic medicine believes the sour lemon taste helps stimulate your “agni.” In Ayurveda, a strong agni jump-starts the digestive system, allowing you to digest food easily and helping prevent the buildup of toxins.

Because lemons and limes are dense in minerals and vitamins, drinking this every morning helps loosen any toxins that may be trapped in the digestive tract.

Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. What is great is that when you begin your day with lemon water, you are more likely to make healthy choices throughout the day.

So for those that is looking for a way to shed few pounds, read carefully; lemon water has been shown to help you loose and maintain good weight.

  • Lemon improves the quality of your skin: Who doesn’t want clear luxurious skin? Vitamin C in lemon helps reduce skin wrinkling, people who take in vitamin C has less risk of wrinkled and dry skin and blemishes. There is more, lemon water purges toxins from the blood and this helps keep the skin clean and clear.

It is therefore a good time to get into good habits and boost your immune system by drinking hot water with lemon and honey. Lemons are high in vitamin C, a natural antioxidant which enhances the immune system and has antiviral and antibacterial properties.
