Nails are fragile and easily broken

When a person has reached a young age, or when a person often engages in activities involving exposure to water or chemicals such as soap and detergent, the person's nails will become brittle and breakable. Brittle and fragile nails can also be caused by fungal infections that attack the nail.

However, not many people know that health problems in a person's body can also cause a person's nails become brittle and easily broken, including skin conditions lichen planus, thyroid gland is not active (underactive) or overactive in producing hormones- hormones in the body, nail psoriasis, even diseases such as reactive arthritis or Reiter syndrome, though not often.
