Dr. Sarah Brewer and dietitologist Juliette Kellow, published a book in which they summarized that taking a daily spoonful of olive oil is the key to the diet for longevity and avoiding strokes and cancer.

Although many had already mentioned the benefits of olive consumption (olives) and their derived products are commonly known, not all authors offer numerical estimates of them.

Brewer and Kellow say that oil adds years to the life expectancy of those who consume it.

Olive oil and longevity .

Olive oil is rich in healthy monounsaturated fats and contains a lot of vitamin E. These ingredients reduce the harmful effects of cholesterol and regulate blood pressure, delaying the diseases associated with aging and improving cognitive function. The incidence of brain accidents is also lower in people who consume olive oil regularly, the authors argue.

Olive oil and cancer

According to both doctors, previous studies to this publication "found that people with a higher consumption of olive oil compared to those with lower consumption were 34% less likely to have any type of cancer and specifically breast cancer.

They admit that they do not know exactly how it happens, but they maintain that "laboratory studies show that the polyphenols present in olive oil can help prevent the onset and growth of cancer through its antioxidant action."
