NOSTALGIA

The weather is not at its best these past few days. Heavy clouds are hanging in the horizon because of a typhoon, pouring like a mad man. The first day I was feeling happy because of my plants, especially the newly planted ones, they are seeping all the rainwater they could, a few days of rest from the harshest of summer sun.

But then today, when it is almost about a week of continuous raining and gloomy weather, I miss the sun.

I was browsing pictures, and bumped into these, and it evoked feelings of nostalgia on me.

I miss this place.

I miss the beach.

I miss the gentle breeze that softly kisses my skin.

I miss walking barefoot on the finest of sand.

I miss being in awe with the sunset, as the sky is painted with different hues, waving goodbye for yet another day.

I miss us, absorbing silently all the beauty around us, hoping it will never end, and thanking the Creator for all his wonderful creations.

I'm not sulking. I am just nostalgic over the good times that I wish I could do all over again (now with our little one). This photo was taken during our honeymoon. And we promised ourselves that someday we will bring our son with us to this "paradise." But somehow, this quarantine thing made it impossible for us to do so. And I grew even more despondent.

Bad weather plus corona virus induces nostalgia on me.

What do you do when feelings of gloominess strikes?
