Potatoes, cucumbers, and watermelon sprouts have now shown their faces.
I’ve also implemented a DIY method of protecting my little corn buddies using empty plastic bottles. Thanks for the tip, @nicksikorski. I always prefer to go DIY when I can.
Isaiah and his modern art/performance art “avant-garden” sculpture. PET bottle mini-“greenhouses” in the background.
Doesn’t look too neat, perhaps, but it does the job I think. I’ve since connected the bottle halves with poles just in case a bit of wind comes. Anyway, learning as I go, all the time.
Fuck yeah! Potatoes! Does anyone have advice on organic pest repellants to keep the bugs off of these guys?
Our little slice of heaven.
If you’ve got a green thumb and have any organic gardening tips and tricks, please let me know in the comments. I’m glad to upvote helpful advice!
