We're having houmous quite often in our household and to keep it interesting, I thought I'd spice it up a bit, well actually, green it up with some spinach. We had a whole bag of it anyways and I thought it would give the traditional recipe a bit of a twist.
Here it goes:
- 400g chickpeas (1 tin)
- 150g spinach
- 1 tbsp tahini
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- pinch of salt
- Blend it all in a mixer.
- Add water or lemon juice, if needed.
- Enjoy on toasted bread, as a dip, on the side
