This fruit is called Persimmon , it is available in the market every winter season . This time, it is cheaper than last year as I can remember, and is very much available in fruit stands and supermarkets

Persimmon is not only delicious but it is full of healthy benefits.

  • It is good to reduce high blood pressure, and diabetes.
  • Good for healthy skin
  • Good for cold and flu
  • Good as laxative
  • Rich in anti-oxidants.**

Persimmon is usually sold in the market while it is still hard, sometimes still sappy if newly picked from the tree. It can be eaten while the skin is still hard or firm, it's like crispy and it's yummy.

Overripe Persimmon, don't throw it.

You don't have to throw away your ripe persimmon, you can still eat it , different in texture but same in nutrition and yumminess.

I love this best, when the persimmon is overripe, it's soft and more sweeter than its normal ripeness.
It is soft and don't need to peel it. After washing the fruit, cut it in the middle and scoop it with spoon and there you go, you can enjoy the soft and sweetiness of the persimmon fruit.
