My 4 o’clocky for today is :
CHOKING GAME REAL HELL NOT A GAME YOU SHOULD PLAY !!
They say New trend, actually a challange .....not the Same one as my duet challange but a really dangerous one. They think its normal, that we as adults dont understand! But As a parent and mother of 4 children in different ages and phases of their lives, its something that really concerns and frightens me!
What am I talking about ??? The choking game !! The choking game? YES they ( read childreren ) think its a game. The parents of the 16-year-old Tim Reynders, like me, had never even heard of the strangulation that their son was fatal exactly a year ago. Fantastic that they have turned their grief into action. They are collecting money for a website with information about the latest challenges among children and the dangers of this. For most of us this is a totally unknown world full of dangerous and absurd online
challenges.
Swallow a spoonful of cinnamon (cinnamon challenge), the hyperventilation game, eating dishwashing liquid (tide pod challenge) and so on. Parents and teachers need to know about that, they thought. I think that this taboo must be discussed openly, but at the same time it id time to say it is really scary for young people. For Tim who died last year and Clay, who died in the Netherlands last Friday, it is unfortunately too late. I am in the thoughts of their loved ones and at the same time also afraid of the future that my, our children are facing ........... 😢
