Snails err Escargo, Bon appétit!

So this past National Escargo day 5/24, (yes there is a day set aside to celebrate these land critters) I had a delicious tray of Escargo, if you aren't familiar with this dish, it's a delicious appetizer made with land snails, cooked in butter and or wine. Usually associated as being a French dish, it is one of the most consumed dishes in France. The sauce was rich, but snails are very good for you, they are also a good source of protein and are low in fat. Have you ever tried Escargo? Would you try it?
