T.G.I. Friday's® Jack Daniels® Sauce Recipe - Happy 4th of July !

If there is one thing that keeps me returning to T.G.I. Friday's, it's their Jack Daniels Sauce!

The official recipe for their sauce is a closely guarded secret - but with a little hunting around on the internet and a few attempts in my kitchen with a few changes along the way, I think this is pretty damn close!

Sadly I don't have lots of sexy shots today as making a dark coloured sauce in a pan on your hob just isn't the most interesting thing to photograph.

But luckily making the sauce is pretty straightforward - a simple case of adding all the ingredients and slowly simmering until the sauce thicken to your likely (around 30/40 mins), before finally stirring through some Jack Daniels :-)

My absolute favorite way to eat this over some Pulled Pork, but it's also amazing with Chicken or Ribs!

To make this, you'll need

160 ml of Water
240 ml of pineapple juice
1 pineapple ring (tinned is fine)
70 ml of Teriyaki Sauce
15 ml of Dark Soy Sauce
220 g of Dark brown sugar (has to be dark!)
45ml of Lemon Juice (that's roughly one whole lemon)
1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper
1/2 a large white onion (chopped)
5 cloves of garlic (finely grated)
15/25 ml of Jack Daniel's or other bourbon

Bigs Hugs

Sacha xx
