My family and I had a great and busy weekend, we started off by visiting a Chocolate and Ice-cream factory in Yarra Valley. This was a true treat for everyone and we could taste some of the lovely treats they had on offer. My wife that is a chocolate lover bought a selection of handmade pralines and we all sampled gourmet flavours of ice-cream.
I think there are about 20 different kinds to choose from, decisions decisions decisions :(
We admired some of the things they prepared for Easter and might have to come back there to buy some more chocolates.
It was very exciting to see firsthand how chocolates are made, which made Emily fascinated with the idea of Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory.... you never know they might be some Umpa lumpas working behind the scenes.
I really like the idea of chocolate bar in form of a book, pretty clever!
Lastly we sat on the patio admiring beautiful landscapes, My daughter Emily was having a Apple Pie ice-cream that she has picked and I had an strawberry sorbet that was very refreshing. My wife was most adventurous and had wasabi / pea favour topped with coconut/charcoal, she insisted that they tasted good, but I don't know about that....
They have some colourful balls for kids to play with and nice area for a family to chill in these enchanted place. I recommend visiting if you ever nearby and while you there check what other things Yarra Valley has on offer, it is amazing part of Melbourne's food and wine supply. There is something for everyone to enjoy!
