First Class of Kitchen! We prepare CHOP SUEY !!!

Have you ever tried the Chop Suey? It is a very tasty recipe that can serve almost as a single dish in an evening. You will have a world of pleasure ahead, but do you want to know what story is hidden behind this dish?

The great majority relates the Chop Suey with Chinese food. It is like that, but its origin is not found in this continent, but in America. It is believed that it was invented at the end of the 19th century by Chinese emigrants who settled in the USA. It is said that it was the result of an improvised dinner that the noble Li Hung Chan, emissary of the Imperial Majesty in the USA, ordered. The nobleman's cook had to figure out what he had in the kitchen to please the guests of Hung Chan. He mixed meat with vegetables and voila, the dish was made.

Another story tells that it was invented in a Chinese tavern, to which some very hungry sailors arrived. As it was the last hour of the day, the pantry was almost empty, so the owner of the store combined all the supplies that remained in one dish.

The name of the recipe comes to mean "mixed variety", so it can be said that it is a combination of ingredients (meat or fish) with vegetables and all wrapped in a dense sauce. To accompany it usually goes with boiled rice or fried rice.

Ingredients for 4 people

2 onions
2 paprika (one red and one green)
2 cups of célery
3 Carrots
2 Cups of cabbage
Cebollin
Oil
Salt
Ajinomoto
Soy sauce
Chicken soup
How to prepare it?
First of all you will need to have a wok, since it is the main tool for its elaboration. It is prepared in three short steps, so before starting to do it, we must have all the ingredients prepared, washed and cut in Juliana.

Stir in the wok with a spoonful of oil onion and paprika, then add the carrot previously bleached, place salt, pepper, ajinomoto and soy sauce, add the célery, chives and cabbage then add the chicken broth 2 minutes before turning off. You turn off and serve your dishes.

Note: You can add chicken, shrimp or ham.
