Due to the longer winter this year, morel mushroom season is a few weeks late. The peak seemed to be over the weekend so off we went hunting. We returned to where we found some last year in the woods of Cordova Park not far from Des Moines. Tasty little guys. They have a slightly nutty flavor. These are all the rage here and you will see people walking around everywhere with baskets or bags. I use a bandana myself. In this video, I take you along to gather and cook these strange looking mushrooms.
