South Indian Dish ( Sambar )

Sambar is a south indian dish, it is a healthy and nutritious food.

ingredients.
oil 1/2 cup, drumsticks 7-8, onions 3, tomato 4, curry leaves ( handful ), dry red chillies ( handful ), cumin seeds 1/2 tea spoon, mustard seeds 1/2 tea spoon, yellow lentils 2-3 cups, sambar powder 2 table spoons, tamarind ( imli), salt as per taste.

preparation
it take around 1 hour.
boil drumsticks for half an hour, drain water and keep drumsticks aside.

soak the tamarind in warm water for 15 min, once the tamarind gets soft, you then squeeze the tamarind and remove the pulp and strain it later.

heat oil in cooker put cumin seeds and mustard seeds together after this put onions , curry leaves, dry red chillies, and tomatoes, fry all these ingredients for 3-5 min, add salt and sambar powder according to taste, than add tamarind and yellow lentils ( pigeon pea lentils ), mix all ingredients and stir for few min, and last add drum sticks and stir for few more min, pressure cook for 30 min.

garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.

It can be easily taken with rice or roti.
