[Review] HOT ONES: Watch Your Favorite Celebs Answer Hot Questions While Eating Even Hotter Chicken Wings!

I got hooked on this show because of my love for all things spicy.

I have always been fascinated with spicy food, ever since my dad introduced me to bird's eye chili, which is ubiquitous here in the Philippines. We grow them in our backyards, and put them in dipping sauces and soups.

Needless to say, anything spice-related on the internet, I watch. My favorites being mukbangs (eating shows) with spicy food.

I came across Hot Ones while binge-watching Key and Peele skits on Youtube. The next suggested clip was actually the comedic duo eating spicy hot chicken wings.

In this show, the guests answer one question for every spicy chicken wing they eat. To up the ante, every chicken wing gets spicier and spicier as they go along!

Host Sean Evans revealed that they came up with this idea because they thought interviews with celebrities would be too boring without a twist.

I love how they totally invested on making the spice factor super legit. They actually measure the heat using the Scoville Scale, which is what is used to determine how spicy a pepper, hot sauce or dish is. Check it out below:

To help give you an idea how insanely hot the wings get, here is an example: For those of you out there familiar with the Samyang Fire Noodle Challenge, this famous instant ramen is only 8,008 on the Scoville Scale. You may have watched a video or two of netizens attempting to eat one packet while suffering the spiciness. The Samyang Fire Noodle, however, is NOTHING compared to Hot One's spiciest hot sauce yet: The Last Dab which weighs in at 2,000,000 plus Scoville Heat Units.

Another thing that makes this such a quality show, is that the interview questions are extremely well thought-out and researched by the team which impresses the guests themselves.

If the celebs make it to the end of the board, the show gives them a 30-second extended plug in which to say or advertise whatever they choose: a prize, so to speak, for burning their taste buds!

Not everyone makes it to the end, though, with some celebs tapping out mid-way, succumbing to the fire.

Finishing the challenge however, not only gives you the extended plug, but earns you major props from the show's viewership. One massive fan is actually keeping a "Power Ranking" which ranks the top 10 guests who handled the wings best.

Hot Ones is presented by the Youtube channel First We Feast and they release new episodes every Thursday. They are going strong, now on their 4th season and have over 2 million subs and a minimum of a million views per video. It is definitely up there with the best and most entertaining shows on Youtube.

I am totally hooked at this stage and definitely look forward to new vids. I give it two thumbs up, 5 stars, and a standing ovation.
