Prawn with Egg Noodles 虾伊面

With the Ching Ming festival arriving, our small town Sandakan gets a boost in outstation visitors. Friends and relative take this occasion to meet up and what better place to gather than the famous seafood restaurants in coastal town Sandakan. Tonight we visited the Ocean King Seafood Restaurant and got to taste their popular Prawn with Egg Noodles.

The freshness of the big prawns was the highlight of the dish and they did not disappoint, sweet and succulent. The accompaniment egg noodle was well cooked but I prefer it to be fried a little bit more for better texture. The silky egg sauce was at the right consistency but could be toned down a bit so to let the sweetness of the prawn take center stage. Overall it was a satisfying eat, nothing can beat seafood when it is at it's freshest.
