Most Delicious Cookies Ever! Apple Cookies You Will Love It!

Hi Steemians! I am sharing the recipe of one of the most delicious cookies which have an international taste. I am saying international taste because my friends from different countries said so. I called my American, Indian, Chinese, Korean and other country friends occasionally to lunch or breakfast at my place. With my wife, we prepared and served these apple cookies (elmali kurabiye) and we got the same reaction from them " This is amazing". Therefore, I wanted to share the recipe of the delicious cookies which everyone deserves to taste:-)

Ingredients

  • 2 mid-size apple
  • 100 ml granulated sugar
  • cinnamon
  • 100 ml corn oil
  • 1 egg
  • 200 gr butter
  • 4 ounces corn starch
  • 6 ounce powder sugar
  • 500 ml flour
  • 16 gr baking powder
  • 8 gr vanilla

Preparation

First, peel the apples and shred them in a fry pan. Put sugar over the apples, mix and start to heat until the apples become dried (approximately 10 minutes on medium heat). Afterwards leave the apples to cool off.

Secondly, to prepare the dough put egg, corn oil and butter in a big bowl and mix them until it becomes homogenous. Than, put corn starch, powdered sugar, flour, baking powder and vanilla and knead well to make the dough (don't put more than 500ml flour otherwise it will spoil the dough). When the dough is ready, divide them into 14 pieces small balls. Flatten out each ball into 3 or 4 inch diameter circles and make slits in the center . Place apple mixture on one side of circle and roll up into crescent shape.

Finally, put the cookies on a flat sheet over a parchment paper. Before putting the flat sheet in the oven, heat the oven 5 minutes (325 Fahrenheit degrees) and put the flat sheet. Bake the cookies approximately 30 minutes until they become slightly golden brown. Afterwards leave them to cool off 15 minutes, spread powdered sugar over the cookies and they are ready to serve:-)
