Louna's easy recipes! Moroccan Chicken tajine with vegetables

Today, I prepared for lunch a typical Moroccan dish "Chicken tagine with vegetables", and I want to share it with you my dear steemiens friends.

The tajine is the traditional dish par excellence of Morocco, It must be said that this magic word is suggestive of the perfumes of the Maghreb, cooked with a basic element (beef, lamb, poultry or fish).

Tagine is a mysterious dish that subtly combines oriental spices, salty and sweet. Coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg, cumin …

Ingredients :

  • 500 g of chicken cuts (high of thigh and pilons)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 50 g of chicked peas in box
  • 1 branch of coriandre
  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 tsp. ginger powder
  • 4 tsp. olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Method

  1. Peel and slice the onion. Heat the oil in the tagine or casserole and fry the chicken pieces with the onion, salt, pepper and ginger.

  2. Wash and peel carrots, potatoes and cut into pieces. Add the vegetables prepared with the chickpeas drained in the tajine. Add salt and pepper.

  3. add 1 glasse of water,olive (if you want) , and coriander cut simmer on low heat for 45 minutes in the casserole or in a tajine dish (with a plate underneath).

Serve hot directly. Enjoy!
