Louna's easy recipes! batbout (Moroccan bread baked in the pan) stuffed with minced meat and vegetables

Today, I prepared a moroccan dish batbout (Moroccan bread baked in the pan) stuffed with minced meat and vegetables, and I want to share it with you my dear steemiens friends.

I chose to stick batbout with minced meat and vegetables but know that you can serve them with nature or with the garnish of your choice.

Dough ingredients:

  • 200g fine semolina
  • 200g white flour
  • 9g of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon ofnsugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 glass of warm water

Method:

  1. Put the flour and fine semolina in a bowl,add salt,yeast,olive oil and sugar.
  2. add water gradually and knead by hand until you get a very soft but not sticky ball.
  3. place the dough in a salad bowl, in a warm place until it doubles in volume for about one hour.

Filling ingredients :

  • 200g minced meat
  • 2 tbsp. of olive oil
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 pepper
  • 1 big onion cut into small cubes
  • 1 spoon. sweet pepper (or strong according to taste)
  • 2 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp. dried coriander (or fresh)
  • pinch of cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • slices of cheese of your choice

Method

  1. Heat the oil, add the onions and fry for 5 minutes.
  2. Add grated carrots, and continue to brown for 5 minutes.
  3. Add pepper,minced meat and the other ingredients, cook while mixing constantly.
  4. Once cooked, remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  5. When the Batbouts dough has risen, cut it into small balls.
  6. flatten each ball on a work surface sprinkled with fine semolina, first put a slice of cheese in the center and then a tablespoon of stuffing.
  7. Reform a ball and start the operation again with the other balls of pasta.
  8. Heat a skillet without adding fat.
  9. Flatten the first stuffed ball and put it on the hot pan (over medium heat)
    1.Lake on both sides.

You can accompany batbout with the Moroccan tea.
