My culture,my heritage: African dish (bitter leaf soup)

Am here with a full formular for making an African local continental dish "bitterleaf soup(ofe oñùgbu)

This is one of the most valued soup in the eastern part of Nigeria,west Africa. It is mostly find among the Anambrians and Eungu state.

It is a very nurtrious soup that supplies the complete classes of food in life.

These are the ingredients needed for the preparation of onugbu/olugbu soup.
Follow me as we add it up to get to the end part.
Preparation of this wonderful dish takes forty-five (45) minutes to be ready.
Procedure

  • we start by adding the extracted palm oil or red oil in the pot.
  • add your stock fish,dry fish and allow to boil for 10minutes.
  • add the local flavour(ogiri),pounded cocoyam and meat. Allow to boil for 5minutes.
  • add the crayfish,pepper,salt and maggi to add flavour and taste. Then allow to boil for the next 10minutes.
  • add the squeezed bitter leaf and allow for 10 minutes. Wow, the soup is done and ready to eat.
