I travel the world #379: Hot Dog Cafe in Akihabara

Hotdog Cafe Akihabara

My friend told me about a Hotdog Cafe in Akihabara where they serve the best Porkginger Hotdogs in Tokyo. I had to check it out and had a stay at a nearby Hotel. I went to the Hot Dog place around 11am, it was empty, only 2 guests

The Hotdog Cafe is a weird Cafe with a lot retro stuff and Coke in Glass bottles. They had a huge selection of different Hot Dogs, but I chose the Gingerpork Dog my friend recommended. It was not cheap at 6 USD and it took around 10 minutes until they served me the Hot Dog. But oh boy, my friend was right, this was the best Porkginger Hot Dog I ever ate. The bun was super crispy, the ginger sauce matched perfectly with the super tender pork meat. If I can't get a Lobster Roll, I would always order this again!

Ever tried a Ginger Pork Hot Dog ???
