HEAVEN #95: The best Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu in my Life

Kotonoha Ebisu

The best Dinner I had this year was at Kotonoha in Ebisu. The restaurant is owned by Mr. Sato a friend of mine. When I call him 1day ahead he always gets the best food you can get in Tokyo for me. The menu started with a huge portion of Crab, followed by some fine Sashimi from Tsukiji Market.

We had Fish with Miso taste and fried fish before coming to the main event of the evening. We started with 2 x 100g Kobe Beef from the Neck of the finest Kobe Beef. In the part I had eaten a lot Kobe Beef which was too fatty, but my friend served us with the Neck part, as that one is still super fine but has less fat.

After that we got a Kobe Beef Croquette and the best Carrot I have ever eaten. Incredible if you look at it, you can see that this was an extraordinary carrot.

We finished eh Dinner with some Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu and some fine Sake. I have eaten Shabu Shabu countless times in my life but this Kobe Beef was incredible. It melts in your mouth for a tasty explosion.
My friend explained to me that the Kobe Beef is instantly vacuumed in Kobe before shipping and that through that process the meat is like it is super fresh. Never h ad better Kobe Beef before.
