Hey Steemians! I hope you enjoy this recipe for scrumptious, ooey-gooey, chocolate chip cookies!
Not only are these a pleasure to make with such simple ingredients, the replacement of butter with oil, results in a crumbly and moist chocolatey cookie.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ½ Cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ Cup granulated white sugar
- ½ Cup brown sugar
- ½ Cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Cup chocolate chips more or less ½ Cup works too. (Milk chocolate OR dark chocolate)
DIRECTIONS:
Pre-heat oven to 350 F/ 175 C (although this may vary depending on your oven)
In a medium bowl sift in Flour, baking soda, salt & set aside.
In a large, separate bowl whisk together both types of sugar, oil, egg & vanilla until well combined.
Add Flour mixture to the Sugar & Oil mixture and stir with a wooden spoon OR spatula until cookie dough forms.
Gently stir in the Chocolate chips of your choice.
Using a Tbsp measure, scoop up the dough & shape into tight round balls of about ¾ ’’-1’’, space each cookie about 2’’ apart on ungreased cookies sheets.
Bake for 8-10 mins, until light golden brown. Be careful as they may burn easily.
Cool for about a minute or two on the cookie sheet before transferring onto a wire rack to cool further.
Cookies may be stored for up to 5 days in an air tight container, although they never last that long!
Thank you!
