Homemade Honey pie

Please welcome my home made Honey pie.
My recipe.

Ingredients

For the dough are as usual:

  • 120 grams sugar
  • 9 grams baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 375 grams all-purpose flour
  • 200 grams honey

For the cream:

  • 400 grams sour cream or cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 90 grams butter

Let’s do the dough.

First, eggs are whisked with salt, baking soda and sugar. The honey having been melted by double boiling is added gradually

As the honey having been put in, the flour is added slowly.

The dough is done and it goes to the fridge for an hour.

A half of the dough is put on a baking tray, rolled (or spreaded with hands) to make a dough layer thin and baked in the oven at 160℃ for about 15-20 minutes (though the time may vary depending on a oven you use). Another half is done the same way.IMG_20170728_171146.jpg

After baking, it looks like sponge but it gets crispy when cooled.IMG_20170728_181220.jpg

So, there are two layers as big as the baking tray.
Cut them into halves and there is a 4-layer pie.

Trim the edges to make your pie look nice and well-shaped.
Now the cream:
Whisk butter till white and add sugar powder, whisk again, put sour cream (or cream) and whisk again.IMG_20170728_201314.jpg

Spread cream on each layer and decorate it to your taste.IMG_20170728_203836.jpg

And leave your pie in a freezer for a night and get it out an hour before served. Here it is the softest and the most delicious Honey pie! As simple as that!
