How to make matcha ice cream at home.

Summer is always a paradise of cool ice creams. If you don't like sweet ice creams like chocolate, strawberry...I think matcha is a good choice. It's so easy. Let's learn and make it at home.

Ingredients.

  • 60mls of whipping cream.
  • 50 grams of matcha tea powder.
  • 6 egg yolks.
  • Fresh milk whithout sugar.
  • 90 grams of sugar.
  • 1-2 pandanut leaves (cut into small pieces).

Step by step guides.

Step 1:

  • Mix well sugar, egg yolks and matcha powder into a bowl until smooth.
  • Bring milk to a boil (shrimp eyes stage) into a cooking pot. Turn off the heat. Then add mixture of matcha in step 1 into the cooking pot, stir well until blend together.

Step 2:

  • Whip the egg yolks until the eggs are soft peaks form. Do not whip so long to avoid dehydration.
  • Pour the mixture in step 2 into a whipping cream bowl, then continue to whip until mix them together.

Step 3:

  • Final is cooling down the mixture at room temperature, cover and put it into the freeze compartment for about 5 hours, every 30 minutes, stir well the mixture of ice cream with a spoon, so that the ice cream will be smooth and delicious. And done, you can make a matcha ice cream by yourself.
