Mr Ekenne had returned from Zaria, the zooming of a familiar sound into the compound elicit a response from little Naomi, "daddy, daddy, daddy" the young one enthused walking towards the car briskly with a subtle jump. Franklin had to scuttle close to grip Naomi from running too close as the car made a reverse to park orderly.

Mr Ekenne finally jumped out of his Mercedes Infinito, rushing to cuddle his beloved daughter while squatting to her height and raising his left hand to drag Franklin close. Mrs Ekene had stepped down the stairs, walking towards the scene to embrace her husband. "welcome dear, how was your trip?" enthused Mrs Ekenne. "It was fun" he enthused in ecstasy "and guess what?" Mr Ekenne questioned expectantly. "what?" answered Mrs Ekenne. Ekenne; I will like to have you guess. "o.k, you finally sealed a contract with Zaheerah Agro Allied Limited" exclaimed Mrs Ekenne. "eeem…., yiiiies!" Ekenne answered affirmatively but not convinced. "not just that, you have to try more, Dear! I bought something special all the way from Zaria" explained Mr Ekenne. "ok, what? You know am not a specialist at guessing" says Mrs Ekenne with a winky gesture suggesting "I know you are up to something" accompanied with a mild smile.

Mr Ekenne, tip toed to the back of the car and brought out a beautiful Bird of feathers and colours, the pride of majesty, the icon of beauty, and the epitome of adoration. Behold! A matured male peacock. Everyone wowed in ecstasy. The gateman (Mallam Abu) gazing from afar in awe of the wonderful scene.

Loosened with a breathe of space, the Peacock expanded its colours and dazzles around with pride. "waow! This is beautiful" enthused Naomi while jumping and clapping. "Unbelievable" Franklin bemused as the female peacock jumped down to join the other. "How much did you bought this" queried Mrs Ekenne. "Very much" enthused Mr Ekenne. "But…" Mrs Ekenne struggled to compare the price with his salary when Mr Ekenne interrupt her speech. "Don't worry there is a pecuniary gift often given to representatives who won the company such lofty contracts. Surely a contract of this magnitude will evoke an expression of a worthy gratitude, Till then I can always pay Mr Okafor.
