This was beautifully told. If it helps, I was hopping and skipping, slipping and siding alongside your MC. She sounds like the kinda friend I would have loved as a little tomboy myself 💞
The chances she had counted wrong and either was getting off the bus one stop too soon or too late were very high.
I'd hazard a guess they were probably at 100%. Your MC has suffered hurts that nobody her age should ever have to endure. Her subconscious mind is protecting her. So is He. There is no need to get off at the right bus stop, if that bus stop is no longer the right one for her. Healing takes time. We never get over things, but we do work through them... but sometimes that requires a little distance... The angels are ensuring that she doesn't have to confront the depths of that heartache on a daily basis.
Um... next stop, please... For now, I'll walk the extra and take the long way back home.
