“The only way to break the prince's curse is by true love’s kiss.”

“Damn, y-you know the forehead would’ve been sufficient. I didn’t think you’ll go tongue deep.”
“Why didn’t you tell me then?!”
“I thought it would be more fun” -- Anon Guest

Prince Godomar Jishi Morosada Frotho Amawrahta Kantakouzene gasped for air as their -ahem- "close personal friend" put him back onto his feet. The blood rushing to his face prevented it from rushing to other places, thank the gods, and looking up into that smiling half-Elven face made him blush all the harder.

"Did you have to be that enthusiastic?" said Kaspar Deamonne, the Consultant Witch. "Right in front of me?"

"I saw an opportunity and I went for it," Larli Willowrun was completely unrepentant. "I have honestly been waiting for a chance for freaking weeks. But, youknow. Prince. Destiny. Political marriage. That sort of thing."

"Uh, about that," said Prince Godomar.

"If you're going to do more of the hugging and kissing," Kaspar pointed to his door, "do it outside of my cottage, thanks. I am hormone-averse. Blargh."

"Yeah we probably should. Thank you for everything," Larli steered Godomar outside via his elbow and took him to a nearby grove that was pretty enough for some rather involved conversation. "Guess this is why he demanded payment up front?"

"Guess," Prince Gondor was all over blushes again. "Since I'm like the fourth in line... uh... there's some magical destiny stuff with my betrothed? With the curse and all, whoever cures it gets my hand?"

"I hope I get the rest of you too. Preferably alive."

Gondor took a solid minute to understand that she was joking. "Larli... can you please try to take this as seriously as possible. This has been a complication in my life for... well... all of my life. And now it's done I have to go back to a castle and be diplomatic at people." He made a face. "I liked being an adventurer with you."

Then Larli said something that made him fall even harder in love. "Aren't the fourth in line shipped off to live with the brides in your traditions?"

Oh. Oh yes. Only in his head was Larli surrouded by a chorus of angels and a cascade of rose petals. "Can I live with you in the woods and adventure with you for the rest of our lives together?"

"Honestly?" said Larli. "I would love that."
