Agriculture today plays a major role in economic sustenance and economic development, most times i wonder how we would be able to live if not for agriculture. The three basic needs of life are food,clothing and shelter and am pleased to tell you that these basic needs of life comes from agriculture. The existence of man is based and built on Agriculture and its product, i so wonder why so many countries have decided to neglect this very important sector today.
Agriculture can be in different ways;
intensive agriculture refers to producing crops in controlled environments and conditions to optimize the growth and development of the plants, with the aim that they can produce fruits to the maximum of their potential.
Or it could also be Extensive which is an agricultural production system that uses little labor, fertilizers and capital, in relation to the area of cultivated land. Both enables crops and animals being grown and breeded in a safe environment with optimum productivity.
