Revisiting Afternoon Tea - Part II

Afternoon Tea the Right Way - Part 2

My post about the first course of my afternoon tea for two with my daughter went down well last week.

You may remember that it was at 'Cakes the Difference' in Patcham, Brighton. Here's a second post. This time show casing the cakes course.

Something I didn't mention about 'Cakes the Difference', apart from them serving their afternoon teas much as they were served in the old days, is that they also make all of their produce on the premises so it is always fresh.

They also pride themselves on only using butter and free range eggs and ingredients such as the finest Belgian chocolate. All are locally sourced, whenever possible.

So . . . onto the cake course . . .

Deciding which photographs to post was really, really difficult. I have too many to post them all but you'll get the general idea I think! 😁 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Served on a silver 3-tiered cake stand

One plate for me. One plate for Rebecca. And the top plate of cream scones to share.

Despite the cakes being nice and petite there was no way we could eat them all, especially after having eaten most of the sandwiches.

This meant we had a nice selection to take home with us to enjoy over the next few days. 😁 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
