ruma well

In Medina, not too far from the Nabawi Mosque, there is a property of a plot of land with a well that never dries up all year long. The well is known by the name: (The Well of Ruma) because it belongs to a Jew named Ruma.

The Jews sell water to the people of Medina and every day people queue to buy the water. At certain times the Jews raise the price of water and the people of Medinah are forced to keep buying it. Because only this well is never dry.

  • Seeing this fact, the Messenger of Allah said: "If anyone can buy this well, * the reply is Heaven".

A Companion of the Prophet named Usman bin Affan approached the Jew. Usman offered to buy his well. Of course the Jewish Ruma refused. This is his business and he gets a lot of money from his business.

But Uthman was not only a wealthy businessman, but he was also a great negotiator. He told Ruma: "I'll buy half of your well at a reasonable price, so we take turns selling water, today you, tomorrow."

Through very strict negotiations, the Jews eventually sold their wells for 1 million dirhams and gave Usman bin Affan 50% marketing rights.

What happened afterwards made the Jews feel alive.
It turned out that Usman freed the water to all residents of Medina. Residents take water as satisfied so that the next day they no longer need to buy water from the Jewish Ruma.
Feeling defeated, the Jew finally surrendered, he asked the Usman to buy all the ownership of the well and the land.

Of course, Uthman did not have to pay anymore for what had been agreed before. Until now in Medina, the well is known by the name * "Usman Well", * or * "The Well of Usman." The vast land surrounding the well became a date garden that was watered from Usman's well. The palm garden is managed by the Saudi government's waqf to this day. Kurmanya exported to various countries in the world, the results are given for orphans and education.
Some were developed into hotels and other project projects, some of which were re-incorporated into the oldest account in the world on behalf of Usman bin Affan.
The results of the management of date palms and groups that currently produce 50 million Riyal per year. (Or the equivalent of 200 billion per year).

The Jew will never win. Why? Because his vision is too shallow. He only lives for the present, the time he is in the world. While the vision of Usman Bin Affan is far ahead. He sacrificed to help others in need and he looked at a great vision called:
"Shadaqatun Jariyah, sustainable charity". A shadaqah that never stops, even when humans are dead.

This is a way of advancing Islam intelligently and barter of the world akherat.
