This cermai fruit has the scientific name Phyllanthus acidus. This cermai fruit also has many names depending on the area, such as ceremoi (Aceh) and mayom (Thailand).
Cermai fruit is relatively small in size and has a unique shape such as star fruit with round shape. This cermai fruit is light green and tastes very sour, usually used as rujak, or processed into sweets or pickles.
Cermai fruit is almost similar to dewandaru fruit. The difference is, if the cermai color is green from young until it is ripe, but if the dewandaru fruit changes its color according to the level of maturity (from green when young, turns yellow, orange, until red when it's ripe).
