ripe banana arepas

Ingredients :

2 ripe bananas with peel, washed and cut into pieces
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup masarepa or corn flour for arepas
2 tablespoons of milk
5 spoons of melted butter
1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese or white cheese
Salt to taste
Butter or cooking oil to cook the arepas

The arepa is one of the most popular foods in Colombia and Venezuela. The most common arepa in Colombia is made with corn flour, however, we also make them with corn, maize, yucca and banana.
