They Arrived in 3,000 BC ~ Drone Footage of Drogheda IRELAND

I’m running out of drone footage so will have to get back out and about over the next few weeks.
These drone shots ar of a place called Drogheda in County Louth. Passing through I just stuck up the Drone and flew around the Port & a nearby concrete plant. Once again those Seagulls were quite active.

In Drogheda, the first boats sailed up the River Boyne, but for sure it would have looked a completely different place back then, no big concrete factories for the Flintstones. The evidence points us to a date around 3,000 B.C. when middle Stone Age man arrived.
They came up here at the mouth of the river and went as far as Newgrange. (See some of my pics on SteepShot of Newgrange)
The landscape at the time would have been heavily wooded and the Boyne itself much wider and slower moving.

From that era to the current day the port has progressed into an important commercial highway trading with Europe, Scandinavia, Asia and America.
So many places to visit not enough time!!
