Yes, I play drums in church.
Just want to share a little on drumming (especially in church ⛪).
One thing that is likely to happen to any drummer is the desire to make people know how excellent your drumming is and the number of explicit fills you have.
Well, for a church worship, one thing every drummer must know is that the worship is not about you the drummer. It's about the God in general and also about whoever is singing.
As such you must not play in such a way to draw the attention of the congregation to yourself. If you do so, you're missing the point of playing in church.
Be a cool player. Don't play to complicated fills during the worship as it would distract people's attention from the reason for worshipping. You're not the one being worshipped here so please note that and make changes to your style of play in church.
Resteem and alert any drummer you know. This could be of great help. Pls upvote too. Thanks.
