The Best Doughnut in Dublin

There’s no two ways about it: Dublin has reached the peak of the doughnut frenzy at the minute. So what?

Don’t let yourself fooled by the multitude of flashing shops at every corner. Dublin has only one doughnut shop. And it’s the kiosk on 8 O’Connell St.

The Rolling Donut Kiosk has been around since 1978 and, I dare you not to try it at least once.
Dear friends from Europe and all over Ireland, if you are coming to Dublin, you must try it.

I know: it’s Winter, it’s cold, dark and rainy.
But give yourself a minute and stop by. Have a treat form all the work and the shopping.

Get yourself a nice coffee and a cinnamon sugar hot ring.
And when you do, close your eyes for a second. Let the cuppa warm your hands up and taste the hot ring from this place.

Do not walk away. Stay right beside it.

Listen to the multitude of voices surrounding O’Connell Street. Listen to all the tourists getting off the buses, to the people on the way to get their groceries on Moore Street. And even listen to the noises from all the 'athletes' in their tracksuits. Listen.
And while you’re enjoying your doughnut, breathe!
Yes, breathe. This is the smell of Dublin. This is the smell I love.
