He built himself a fully off-grid, geodesic dome house with trampoline bed:
He then moved his family to an island be bought in Panama, whereupon he constructed a solar powered houseboat for them to live in, as well as a number of smaller solar powered watercraft:
All in service of a larger goal. A concrete fortress that would become his family's new primary residence:
But even to get that far, he needed to build his own construction equipment. Including a solar powered bulldozer(!) which he made out of scraps, Tony Stark style:
This guy is like the indie Elon Musk. Not trying to get to Mars, just to make life on Earth a little bit more awesome. His creativity and drive have long been an inspiration to me, along with his Adventure Builder philosophy of life. He's gone and done all this to show it can be done. None of us have to accept the hand we're dealt. Life is what we make of it.
