Sawang Dam is located in Sawang Kuta Batee Village, Sawang District, North Aceh Regency. The road to the Sawang dam is pretty good because the road to get there is on the asphalt. To go to the location of dam Sawang Dam from Lhokseumawe City about 3 hours, while from Medan-Banda Aceh National Road only 25 - 45 minutes by motorcycle.
This dam is built for the watering needs of the community, especially for the farmers who grow crops in sanwang and surrounding areas.
