Restoration work is difficult but absolutely worthwhile, even when it's brick by brick. The Ghale Dokhtar (Maiden Castle) stands high above the flat city, delivering a 360° view of Kerman and it's protective mountains. We were lucky to have the opportunity to explore the ruins before restoration is completed, otherwise there'll be an entrance ticket!
